Don't POSE! be comfortable

Trust your photographer to make you look your best. if it makes you feel more at ease take someone with you to talk to throughout the shoot (I recommend this to all my clients) It helps "harvest" the real smiles, and is easier on the photographer and YOU!

YOUR HANDS: questions on what to do with them?

Don't put them near your face, (your hand is as big as your face and will pull too much attention away from the focal point) you can however, put them behind your head if you want to vogue a little! Pockets or looping a thumb through your belt loop work best, it relaxes you some while providing killer diagonals that bring an organic feel to your photos (hint: this will also encourage you to put your weight on your back foot, a small rule that prevents rigidity and naturally puts you in a 2/3rds pose that will shave off that 10 lbs the "camera adds")

Keep your chin parallel to the ground, lifting your chin will cause harsh shadows on your face!
